Until September 2018, he served as Executive Director of the Tax Department at EY (Ernst & Young, Mancera, S.C.) in the Cancun office, a firm he joined in 1994 in the external audit department before moving to the tax practice four years later. Over 25 years of professional experience focused on providing tax consulting and compliance services, primarily directed at the hospitality and real estate sectors for both public and private companies with domestic and foreign capital (USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and Spain).
